Monday August 14 marked the first official hockey session for the newly formed Laois Hockey Club with over 30 players in attendance. Laois Hockey Club have teamed up with Laois Hurler and Personal Fitness coach Enda Rowland to deliver a 5 week pre-season training programme ahead of their busy season which kicks off mid-September. This fitness programme is opened to all players from 16 years of age and takes place every Monday from 8pm to 9pm in Fr Breen Park, Abbeyleix.
The first hockey training session takes place on Tuesday August 22 from 7pm to 9pm with Eric Comerford returning for another season with the club as head coach. The club currently consists of two senior ladies teams, these teams are always looking for new or returning players to come join.
