Portlaoise College secured the U16 Division A All-Ireland title for the second time in three years with a straight-sets win over Grange Community College in the final at NUIG Kingfisher Club, Galway.

The first set saw Portlaoise, the unbeaten favourites, lead 15-8, but Grange fought back to narrow the gap to 23-22 before Portlaoise closed out the set 25-22. The second set was more dominant, with Portlaoise racing to a 15-6 lead and eventually winning 25-15. The team's powerful attack, led by MVP setter Enzo Tetzner, and solid defence from libero Drake Cebarce helped secure the victory.

Coach Pawel Nowakiewicz praised the team's dedication, noting their improvement after last year's semi-final loss. Key players included Akachi Ogbulafor, Jeremiah Phillips, and Azim Shitta in attack, with strong defensive support from Adam Odukoya and Tajus Subelko.

With this victory, Portlaoise College now looks to take on Portadown College and further cement their status as the top volleyball team on the island.
