IN PICTURES: Laois Athletics Club hosts primary schools Cross-Country relays

The first running of the St Abban’s AC Primary Schools Cross-Country Relays took place on Friday, September 19, in Killeshin. The event saw 11 schools participate, with around 200 students taking part in the races. St Abban’s AC extended their thanks to all the schools, volunteers, and teachers who helped ensure the smooth running of the event. Special recognition was also given to Ian McDonald for the use of his land, as well as to the event sponsors: Apache Pizza Carlow, Thomas M. Byrne & Son, Cahill Crafts Ltd., Ann Marie Lawler Barbering, Tara Sheehan Barbering, Craig Coffey Fitness, and Laois Sports Partnership. The cross-country season gets underway on Sunday, September 28, when St Abban’s AC will host Day 1 of the Laois Cross-Country series in Killeshin.
