Overdue food delivery? Laois Gardaí might be able to explain

Laois Offaly Gardaí seized a car from a delivery driver in Portarlington earlier today. 

Gardaí posted an image of the Volkswagen car on social media along with an explanation of their reasons for seizing the car.  

“Portarlington and Mountmellick Gardaí while on patrol earlier today stopped and seized this vehicle being driven without insurance whilst out delivering food in the locality,” gardaí stated. 

“The driver of the vehicle was also a learner permit holder and driving without a full licence driver or L plates. There was a severely bald tyre on the vehicle as well as no tax or NCT,” gardaí added. 

They said fines will be issued along with summonses will now be issued to the driver.
