Laois Public Participation Network (PPN) held a ‘Pedal Vintage’ event during with Bike Week 2024

Matt Doyle of Pedal Vintage Bike Hire in Durrow welcomed Laois PPN Community Member Groups to the event, where he led the family-friendly cycle. 

Pedal Vintage is a Durrow Community Bike Hire Scheme initiative run by a voluntary group, on Chapel Street, Durrow, Co Laois.

They provide vintage-style bikes and helmets for hire, as well as guided cycle tours around Durrow.

Dan Bergin, Laois PPN coordinator, said: "Laois PPN would like to express their gratitude Matt Doyle of Pedal Vintage in Durrow for providing the Vintage-Style Bikes and leading the family friendly cycle.

"A special thank you to Ann-Marie Maher Sports and Leisure Officer at Laois County Council for her support and to the Community Group Members for coming to the event."

Laois PPN consists of over 650 member groups from the community, social inclusion and environmental pillars.

All groups registered with Laois PPN are given the opportunity to attend Laois PPN events. Any group wishing to join Laois PPN can do so by completing the application on the Laois PPN website www.laoisppn.ie
