Domino’s will create 25 new jobs when it officially opens its new store in Laois today.
Domino’s is celebrating the opening of its latest Laois store in Portarlington today by donating a €1 from each pizza sale to the local Women’s Shed group.
The highly anticipated store is the latest in a series of openings, delivering a total of 25 new roles to the area including store management, pizza chefs, customer service colleagues and delivery drivers.
Domino’s aims to be at the heart of local communities and Domino’s Portarlington is no different, wanting to deliver more than just great-tasting, fresh pizza. The team behind the new local Laois store are keen to create a positive impact in the local community and will be donating €1 from every pizza ordered on the official launch date, Monday, December 16, to the local Women’s Shed in Portarlington.
Chief Executive of Ireland’s largest Domino’s franchise, Shorecal, George Bertram, said: “At Domino’s we love to support the communities we serve, and we’re delighted to be able to give something back to the Portarlington community. We really admire the efforts that the local Women’s Shed have made to help their community, and we hope we can contribute in some way towards their services in the area.
We are delighted to open our doors in Portarlington and look forward to delivering fresh, handmade pizzas to locals, and welcome them to our new store.”

We are delighted to be on the receiving end of the generous donation from Domino’s opening day that will go towards our services locally. We wish the store team the best of luck with their new venture and encourage all members of the community to visit the new store and support – I'm sure Domino’s will become the centrepiece of many a celebration in the area in the months and years to come.”
On Monday, December 16, from 12 noon until 12am midnight, Domino’s Pizza Portarlington will hold their official opening. Any size pizza ordered will see the local Domino’s store donating €1 for every pizza to the local Women’s Shed.
Pizza fans in Portarlington can now order Domino’s firm favourites, including Pepperoni Passion and Vegi Supreme, as well as new innovative sides such as Hot & Cheesy Dip, Hot & Cheesy Dip with Twisted Doughballs, Mac ‘n’ Cheese and treat themselves to the delicious Twisted Doughballs with Chocolate & OREO Crumb. Also returning to the festive menu for Christmas is The Festive One pizza, Festive Loaded Fries and a new lunch option in the Festive Wrap.
Portarlington customers will be able to avail of a special opening offer, any Medium Pizza for €9.99 or options to ‘go Large’ for €3 more when collecting instore.
The new Portarlington store is located at Unit 2, Link Rd, Cooltederry, Portarlington, Co. Laois, R32 T327 and will be open from Sunday – Thursday: 12pm – 12pm and Friday – Saturday: 12pm – 1am.
