Laois champion Irish dancer Sean Burbage
A four times world champion dancer from Laois is to be given a civic reception in his home county.
Sean Burbage from Portarlington has won worldwide awards for his dancing skills since he was a child.
A son of Pat and Catherine Burbage, he danced from a young age with Lynam School of Irish Dancing and now teaches with the Burbage Irish Dance Academy.
A primary school teacher, he now dances professionally with the Rhythm of the Dance world touring show.
He has won numerous Leinster and All Ireland titles, as well as four World Championships.
Laois County Council has approved the Civic Reception in his honour, at their December meeting.

It was proposed by Cllr Aidan Mullins and seconded by Cllr Ben Brennan. A date is yet to be confirmed.
