A young girl who died following a collision in Portlaoise will be laid to rest on Monday. 

Rosaleen(Rosie) McDonagh tragically died after being involved in a collision with a car at Fairgreen in Portlaoise on Wednesday. 

 “Rosaleen (Rosie) McDonagh 23 Blueberry Hill, Esker Hills, Portlaoise, died 30th of August following an accident. Dearly loved daughter of Bernard and Victoria and dear sister to Bernie, Julia, Valerie, Priscilla and Jolene.  Deeply regretted by her heartbroken parents, brother and sisters, grandparents Willie and Winnie McCarthy and Bernard and Margaret McDonagh, uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbours, relatives and her many friends. Resting with the Angels,” her death notice reads. 

She is reposing in Moloneys Funeral Home Mountmellick on Sunday from 2pm. Recital of The Rosary at 4pm. Removal at 5pm to SS Peter and Paul’s Church Portlaoise arriving for 6pm. Requiem Mass on Monday at 12  followed  by burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery Mountmellick.
