There is shock and sadness among the school community at Scoil Chriost Rí in Portlaoise following the death of a teacher.
Eileen Loughnane, Rathnamanagh, Portlaoise and late of Ballydesmond Co. Cork, passed away on Tuesday, July 9.
Her funeral will take place in SS Peter and Paul's Church on Saturday.
Beloved wife of Gerard, and dearly loved mother to Liam, Jamie, and Mary Rose. Cherished grandmother to Cillian. Deeply regretted by her mother Mary Murphy. Brothers Gerard, Liam, and Bertie. Daughter in law Rachel. Brothers in law , sisters in law, Nephews, nieces. Relatives and especially her work colleagues and students at Scoil Chriost Rí.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home Portlaoise on Friday evening from 6.30 pm till 8 pm with rosary at 7.30 pm. Funeral arriving at SS Peter and Pauls Church for 12 noon requiem mass on Saturday. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery Portlaoise.
