The vehicle on fire on Wednesday night.
Portlaoise Plaza has thanked the Fire Services for their swift response to Wednesday night's blaze when a vehicle caught fire close to Junction 17.
Taking to social media Portlaoise Plaza said: "We want to take a moment to thank the incredible Fire and Services team for their swift response to the recent fire on the road adjacent to the Plaza. We're also proud of our own team at Portlaoise Plaza during this situation. Thanks to everyone for their support and assistance."
Dramatic footage of the fire was shared on social media. The vehicle was cleared shortly before 9pm on Wednesday night.
