Laois Pride have announced a fun table quiz event in support of Midlands LGBT Project.
The table quiz will take place in Kavanagh's Bar, Portlaoise on Friday July 18 with doors opening at 8pm.
"The fundraiser is in support of this year's upcoming pride events," a member of the Laois Pride committee explained.
"Come as you are or as a team, all are welcome!".
Established in February of 2021, Midlands LGBT+ Project originally was founded as Laois LGBTI+ Project, however the group say that they expanded to meet the 'huge demand' from surrounding counties.
The group now host monthly events to reduce isolation for LGBT+ people in Laois, and they provide LGBT+ Inclusivity and Diversity training for schools, businesses and organisations.
"The project started as an idea from Youth Work Ireland Laois, of hoping to reach some LGBT+ adults in Laois, to help them develop a community and network and give them a space to come together," the group have said.
"What it has developed into has been that and so much more," they say.
Tickets to Laois Pride's Table Quiz Fundraiser can be found here, costing €10 per person or €40 for a table.
After the table quiz, a party will take place downstairs with music from Mere Mortals.
"There will also be a Laois coffee meet up in Portlaoise on Sunday (20th) at 1pm for a quick catch-up," the committee highlighted.
