A historic 15th-century Irish castle overlooking a river in the scenic part of the west of Ireland is going under the hammer at auction at the end of the month.

This unique castle overlooks Dunkellin River and is arranged over ground, first and second floors with a top floor parapet which provides panoramic views of the local countryside. Internally the property comprises three-bedroom accommodation and extends to approximately 1,033 sq. ft.

The property fronts onto the L4192 and is located approximately 2km northeast of Craughwell village, 12km west of Loughrea and 35km east of Galway city. It is listed with an AMV of €250,000 on Daft.ie ahead of its auction date on March 27.
