The death has occurred of Joe Cunneen. Rathleague, Portlaoise and formerly Cork City. June 2nd 2024. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the tender care of the dedicated staff at the Beacon Hospital. Beloved husband to Margaret and loving father to David, Stephen and Mary and father-in-law to Clodagh and Gillian. Cherished grandfather to Rebecca, Adam, Zoe, Amy, Eilbhe, Eilís, Aaron, Sean and Julianne. Sadly missed by his loving family. His brother Frank and his wife Joan. Brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law. Nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace. Reposing at the family home in Rathleague (R32K8KX) from 3 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday evening, with rosary at 7.30 pm. Removal on Thursday to arrive at SS Peter and Pauls Church for 12 noon requiem mass. Internment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls cemetery Portlaoise. Car parking kindly provided by Portlaoise GAA club. House private on Thursday morning for family only please.

Lorna Robins - Portarlington

The death has occurred of Lorna Robins Ballymorris Court, Portarlington.  Formerly of Millbrook Manor Portarlington County Laois. Lorna passed away on Sunday 2nd June 2024 peacefully after a short illness borne with great courage and dignity surrounded by her loving family, partner and cousin.

Lorna will be deeply missed by her heartbroken dad Edwin, mum Susan, sister Yvona, partner Jer, cousin and special friend Amy, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Family Home Strictly Private, Please.

Una Donoghue- Portlaoise

The death has occurred of Una Donoghue (nee Byrne), formerly Hawthorn Drive, Portlaoise and Collins Park, Beaumont, Dublin 9, died June 2nd 2024, peacefully at the Residence Nursing Home, Portlaoise. Predeceased by her husband Peter. Sadly missed by her son Cormac, his partner Sinead and her adored grandchildren Molly and Paudie, daughter Ursula, her husband Eamon and grandsons Joseph and David, brother Justin, sister Bernie, extended family and friends. Mary Kate (Mamie) Dooley-Portarlington

The death has occurred of Mary Kate (Mamie) Dooley (née Doyle) of Congress Tce, Portarlington on June 1, 2024.  Formerly of Leeds. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Tallaght Hospital. Predeceased by her husband John and daughter Marie. Sadly missed by her loving family Gerry, Anne and Seán, the extended family, neighbours and friends. May She Rest In Peace. Tyrone Goodier- Graiguecullen

The death has occurred of Tyrone Goodier of 75 Tommy Murphy Park, Graiguecullen, Carlow and formerly of Winsford, England, passed away peacefully, on May 31st, 2024, at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved husband of Honoria, much loved father of Melissa, Len and Freddie and adored grandfather of Taylor and Freya. The death has occurred of Breda Higgins(née O'Donoghue) late of Kinvara Avenue, Navan Road and Borris Road Portlaoise on June 1st, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her family in the wonderful care of the staff in Glenaulin Nursing Home, Chapelizod.

Breda, wife of the late P.J, predeceased by her parents Richard and Brigid, brothers Eddie, Richard and Larry. Sadly missed by her loving sons Paul and Eugene, daughter Dolores. Daughters in law Lucy and Cindy, son in law Pat. Her adored grandchildren Aoife, Katie, Jennifer, Ornagh, Patrick, Martin, Claire and Alanna. Mary Williams - Rathdowney

The death has occurred of Mary Williams (née Cleary), Knockiel, Rathdowney, R32 E7W0, May 30th. 2024, peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise in her 90th year.

Predeceased by her husband Timmy, sisters Peg, Dinah and Betty, niece Clare and grand niece Anna.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her twin sister Jane, her many much adored nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, extended family and her close neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace

The death occurred of Seamus (Jim) Merriman, Dr Murphy’s Place, Portlaoise on May 28th 2024.

Predeceased by his father Patrick, mother Sheila, brother Michael and sister Anne. Deeply regretted by his brother Eamonn, sister in law Gail, nephews Charlie and Oscar, aunt Teasie, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegan's Funeral Home Portlaoise on Friday from 6:30pm to 8pm with rosary at 7:30pm. Removal on Saturday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church Portlaoise for 12 noon requiem mass. Interment will follow afterwards in SS Peter and Paul's Cemetery Portlaoise.

Pascal Begadon - Ballacolla

The death occurred of Pascal Begadon, San Francisco and formerly Tentore, Ballacolla, Co Laois, May 23rd. 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Martin and Mary and brother Cyril. The death occurred of Thomas Flynn, Derrycloney, Mountmellick, and late of Cooldorragh ,Ballycumber Co Offaly on May 30th.

Retired NT, he is predeceased by his wife Carmel and brothers Peter and Paddy.

Honor Kennedy- Laois

The death has occurred of Honor Kennedy (nee Murray), Tolerton, Laois/ Carlow and formerly of Ferns, Co Wexford,  May 29th 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Tallaght University Hospital, Dublin. Beloved wife of the late Sean and much loved mother of John, Ted, Miriam and Edel.
