Eimear Corri-Fallon is making her mark on the biggest stage after being named in Ireland’s squad for the Women’s Rugby World Cup.
The talented forward from Laois has made an impressive return to the green jersey, just months after recovering from a serious injury that had kept her sidelined for almost a year.
Former Portlaoise RFC player Corri-Fallon, who now has eight international caps, made her World Cup debut against Japan as she entered from the bench in Ireland’s emphatic 42-14 victory on Wednesday, August 24. A week later, she was trusted with a starting role against Spain, playing the full 80 minutes as Ireland sealed a 43-27 win to book their place in the quarter-finals.
Now, with confidence building and momentum on their side, Ireland will look to top their group when they face New Zealand on Sunday, September 7, at 2.45pm.
