Laois rugby talent on show as Terenure claim Leinster Senior Cup glory

Terenure College captured the Bank of Ireland Leinster Senior Cup with a 29-21 victory over Lansdowne at Energia Park last Saturday, September 13, and there was no shortage of Laois involvement in the success.

Brothers Craig and Ross Adams both featured in the back line, with Craig heavily involved in the attacking play that led to key tries, including the break that set up Aran Egan’s score before half-time. At scrum-half, William Reilly impressed with a high-tempo performance, linking well with out-half Julian Leszczynski to keep Terenure on the front foot.

The Laois influence wasn’t limited to the pitch. On the coaching front, Tom Hargroves continues to make his mark as Terenure’s Strength and Conditioning Coach, while Cathal Bannon is an integral part of the management team as Forwards Coach.

Elsewhere, fellow Laois men Luke Rigney and David Maher were not involved on the day but remain part of the extended squad, contributing to Terenure’s ongoing success. READ MORE BELOW THE PICTURE.

The win adds to Terenure’s growing stature at the top of Irish club rugby, with the cup proving to be valuable preparation for the Energia All-Ireland League campaign. Terenure are currently under the guidance of former All-Black great Carlos Spencer, who joined the club in the summer and has already added his influence to a side that continues to compete at the very top of Irish club rugby.
