Students enjoying a bouncy castle at Coláiste Iosagáin
A fun day has taken place in a Laois school, in memory of a young teenager who died recently.
Teachers and pupils at Colaiste Iosagain secondary school in Portarlington ran a fun day fundraiser to support Trexo For Jamie.
The day is in memory of Portlaoise boy David Brown, 14, who sadly passed away over Easter in a tragic accident.
The funday took place on Wednesday, May 3.
The Brown family in their time of grief thoughtfully nominated the Trexo for Jamie charity, for anyone wishing to donate in memory of David. Trexo for Jamie is a fundraiser to get expensive robotic equipment to help Laois boy Jamie Mannion, 10, who has severe disabilities, to be able to walk.
Events were held in the school throughout the day, with both indoor and outdoor activities provided for First and Second Year students.
Dancing, DJs bouncy castles and bales are all on offer. Food and light refreshments are also being provided at the event. All proceeds will be donated to the chosen charity.
