Laois Sports Partnership announce the return of the Street Leagues

Laois Sports Partnership have hit the ground running in the new year with a number of activities, programmes and courses. So far in 2023, they have engaged with men, women, secondary schools, primary schools, the elderly and people with disabilities.

The LSP have announced that the annual running of the Street leagues will return for 2023. The highly popular 7-a-side soccer tournament will take place from March 8, 2023 until April 19, 2023.

This year will see an expansion of the event from previous years. The event was usually held weekly at the Portlaoise Leisure Centre, however there are now four venues hosting the tournament. Portlaoise AFC, Mountmellick Community School, Clovers Rathdowney and Portarlington Leisure Centre will all play host to the 7-week long event.
