Killeshin FC is bursting with pride as local player Ciara Milton has been appointed captain of the Republic of Ireland Girls U-15s International team for the upcoming Bob Docherty 4 Nations International Tournament.

In a recent post on social media, the Laois-based soccer club shared their excitement, congratulating Milton on this fantastic achievement.

"Huge congrats to Ciara Milton from Keelogue, Killeshin on being appointed Captain for the Republic of Ireland Girls U-15s International team for the upcoming Bob Docherty 4 Nations International Tournament."

She has been a standout player for Killeshin FC, playing an integral role in the Girls U-16 squad, which is currently topping the CDFL U-16 League with just one game remaining. Despite recently transferring to Shamrock Rovers, the club made sure to emphasise their ongoing support.

"Ciara was part of our Girls U-16 squad this season that currently tops the CDFL U-16 League with one game to go," the post continued. "We all wish her continued success and are extremely proud to see her captain our country."

The appointment of Milton as Irish captain reflects her hard work, dedication, and leadership, both on and off the field. This is a significant moment not just for Milton but for the entire Killeshin FC community, who have watched her grow as a player.

The club finished their post with a final message of congratulations, "Well done Ciara."
