A powerful finish from Rosenallis meant they bounced-back from their heavy loss to Camross in the last round to defeat Abbeyleix in their own backyard on Saturday evening.

Rosenallis picked up an opening round win against Castletown before shipping the heavy loss to Camross, Abbeyleix on the other hand have yet to pin any points to the board following losses to Rathdowney-Errill and Castletown in their opening fixtures.

Abbeyleix hurled well in the first half, going in with a 0-10 to 0-6 lead at the interval. Eoghan Fennelly, Eugene Hearns, Conor Bergin and Enda McWey all got on the score sheet for the home side.

Rosenallis levelled early in the second half with four unanswered scores, and the sides were fairly well matched until the last ten minutes where Rosenallis pushed on.

Teenager Conor Cosgrove, John Lennon and Paddy Keating came up with scores, as Rosenallis finished the stronger to grab some valuable points.
