Laois affordable housing scheme to launch

Laois County Council is getting ready to launch a new affordable housing scheme for Stradbally. The houses at Oavale Meadows are being sold by the local authority under affordable dwelling purchase arrangements aimed at first time buyers. 

There are six property types on offer - a two-bed mid terrace property (one available), a three-bed end terrace (two available), a three-bed mid terrace (one available), a three-bed end terrace (two available), a three-bed end terrace (two available) and a three-bed end terrace (one available). Minimum sale prices for the properties range from €212,650 to €262,650 and income limits apply. In the main applicants must be first time buyers or applying under the Fresh Start Principle.

Applicants must have their mortgage approval in principle prior to applying for the scheme. The estimated delivery of these properties are three in September 2025 and the remaining six in January 2026.
