Snow is on the horizon as Met Éireann issues a fresh Weather Warning for Laois and the rest of the country.
The new Status Yellow Low Temperature/Ice Warning comes into effect from 4pm today.
“Wintry showers in the northwest and southwest. Accumulations possible, especially in mountainous areas, leading to disruption,” Met Éireann has warned.

“Icy stretches leading to hazardous travelling conditions, especially on untreated roads and paths,” the forecaster added.
The warning will remain in place until midday on Tuesday.
