There is good news and bad news for Laois locals this St Patrick's Weekend.
With over 15 parades taking place across Laois this St Patrick's Weekend, Met Éireann have promised that this weekend will remain mostly dry.
However, there will be scattered showers throughout the weekend, with temperatures on Friday night to drop as low as -3°C.
Here is your weather forecast for Laois this weekend;
Friday
Mostly cloudy with scattered showers at first. Some hail showers will be possible for a time, along with sleet on hills. It will become drier as the day goes on, with occasional breaks in the cloud. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in a light to moderate east to northeast wind.
Friday night
Cold and dry with long clear spells. Temperatures will fall to between -3 and 0 degrees so there will be widespread frost and some icy patches. Mist and fog patches will form too, in light and variable winds.

Saturday
A cold, frosty and sunny start to the day with any mist and fog patches clearing. Cloud will increase as the day goes on and a few light showers will develop. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with light northerly or variable breezes.
Saturday night
Mostly dry and partly cloudy, with just isolated light showers. Patches of mist and fog will form in light and variable breezes. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees.
Sunday
A few light showers, but generally dry with varying amounts of cloud. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with light easterly or variable winds.
Monday (St. Patrick's Day)
A little breezier on St. Patrick's Day with a moderate southeasterly breeze. After a largely dry start to the day, scattered showers will develop, but there will be some dry and bright periods too. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees.
In Laois, 14 parades will take place on St Patrick's Day, with Rathdowney's Parade taking place on Sunday March 17.
