Laois locals can keep their sunscreen at the ready, as sunny spells are expected to last for the remainder of this week.
However, while the days are expected to see sunshine and clear skies, there is frost, fog and rain forecast for nights this week.
Temperatures are to peak on Wednesday and Thursday, with a high of 17°C to 18°C.
"There will be some fogs forming in the mornings with some moisture in the air this week, with high pressure nearby," a MET Éireann meteorologist confirmed with the Leinster Express / Laois Live.
"It will grow cooler towards the weekend, turning more unsettled on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will lower to 15°C this weekend, with rain expected on Sunday and Monday.
"The nights are to drop to 0°C and -1°C, with clear skies and frost. The high pressure is moving further away, meaning the fresh easterly breezes will decrease and turn to light breezes," they said.
There is to be a moderate pollen count this week, with tree, grass, nettle and weed pollen seasons beginning now.
Cypress, Birch and Ash pollen levels have risen in the last couple of days. This dry warmer spell is bringing the tree pollen season.
