Black ice and sharp frost: Met Éireann extends Laois weather warning

Met Éireann have extended their weather warning for Laois, with temperatures to fall between -1°C and -3°C on Tuesday morning.

A yellow weather warning will remain in place until 9am on Tuesday January 6.

Laois locals should be aware of treacherous travel conditions, with sharp frost and icy stretches. Drivers should also take note of the possibility of black ice on roads.

Monday has seen temperatures between -2°C and -5°C.
