Portlaoise Parish is inviting parents to its first Blessing of Babies since the Covid-19 pandemic hit.
Because of the impact, parents of babies born during 2019 up to January this year are welcomed to come along.
"It will be three years since our last Blessing of Babies ceremony and we are delighted to invite anyone who has been baptised in those three years to this year's ceremony," said the Parish in a note to local people.
The usually very popular ceremony takes place on Sunday, January 8 at 2pm in SS Peter and Paul's Parish Church Portlaoise.
