Donaghmore Community Alert Group and Donaghmore Tidy Towns held a "thank you" meeting on Monday evening, May 15 in Swallows Quarter at the Old Mill in Donaghmore to recognise the people who contributed to the recent major improvements to the village.

The projects have included the installation of the CCTV cameras and the funding of the two defibrillators which were installed in May.

One of the defibrillators is located at the Old Mill in the centre of the village and the second one is at the Donaghmore workhouse Museum.

This historic village has had a number of projects undertaken in the past couple of years with the support of Laois County Council and with the hard work of a small but dedicated group of volunteers and it is looking better every year.
