Laois and Offaly committee want local stories to send around the world

Portarlington and O'Dempseys of Killenard in action in O

Laois and Offaly residents who live in and around Portarlington and Killenard are being invited to contribute to the annual newsletter that goes gobal every year.

The Portarlingon and Killenard Emigrant Newsletter Committee is looking for articles for the upcoming 2023 Emigrant Newsletter.

They are looking for topical or historical stories or anecdotes, some old photographs or achievements. No matter what category, they would like to share.

The organisers say every year the Emigrant Newsletter is posted to all corners of the world & enjoyed by ex-pats with news and stories from home, some copies turning up in Australia, China, Canada & the UK, to name but a few.

If you have an article / old photograph we want to hear from you, so please forward all contributions to any member of the committee, drop them into the Parish Office or email to  portarlingtonparishoffice@ eircom.net
