Laois scout group to sleep outside for homeless charity

Some members of 3rd Laois Durrow Scouts.

The kind hearted young members of Durrow Scouts are preparing to sleep out in the cold for a night this month, to raise money for a homeless charity.

The 3rd Laois Durrow Scout and venture section are holding a sleepout in their den grounds to raise money for Focus Ireland.

They had carried out a successful sleepout last year and this year they hope to raise €500 between them.

The group will be huddled into their sleeping bags outside from 8pm on Friday night, November 17 until 11am on Saturday morning.

The scouts & ventures have planned the event entirely themselves and have sponsorship links set up and the money goes directly to Focus Ireland.

Supporters can donate here on the focusireland.ie website.

All donations big and small are welcomed.

Focus Ireland works with people both to prevent and to end homeless situations.
