'Good on ya boys' - Laois gardaí sell out donuts in fundraiser for Special Olympics

An Garda Síochána Laois/Offaly have thanked the public for their contributions to a fundraiser in aid of Special Olympics Ireland.

'Cops and Donuts' saw gardaí fundraising for the cause through selling donuts between 10am and 4pm on Sunday November 17, 2024. However, in a Facebook post, Laois gardaí were happy to announce that they had sold out of donuts by 3pm at Laois Shopping centre.

Members of the public praised the fundraising efforts of the gardaí as one Facebook user said: "Good on ya boys".

Special Olympics Ireland commented: "Thank you for being such a wonderful support to our cause!"

Laois gardaí also thanked their sponsors, Grape & Bean and Sliding Wardrobes Direct and staff at Laois Shopping Centre for their support.
