The above Parents council is seeking interested parents, family, friends, past pupils, of the school to participate in a sponsored walk on Croagh Patrick on June 14 to raise funds to purchase new equipment for our local school that all children will benefit from. Musical Festival

From July 2 to 6 the club will host “Mountrath Music festival 2014” and there will be something for everyone to look forward too. This will be a marquee event in the GAA grounds.

A Good Yarn Knitting Club meets in the library every Friday morning 10:30 - 12:30 am. Why not join us for a cuppa, good company guaranteed.


The Aware Support Group for people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress and other mood related conditions meets every Tuesday at 7.30pm in St. Peter and Pauls Parish Centre, Portlaoise. The sale of jam continues in Costcutters Mountrath and Phelan’s Shop Castletown. We would like to thank everyone for their support for this worthy cause by buying jam and donating fruit.
