A Joint Policing Committee for Carlow Town will be held on Monday 20 May at 4.30pm in St Fiacc’s House, Graiguecullen.


Next Saturday 18 May the children from Killeshin NS will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at 11am in Holy Cross and on Saturday 25 May the children of St Fiacc’s NS will celebrate confirmation in St Clare’s.


St Fiacc’s National School is holding a 21 Birthday Reunion on Friday, May 31. Past pupils are invited into the school from 10am until 12.30 for a cuppa and a chat. Old photographs will be on display in the school hall. A musical get-together, weather permitting, will be held in the school yard from 1.30pm. On Saturday morning, a soccer match will be run by Jane Moore and any past pupils interested in playing, can contact Jane on 0857177675. All past and present pupils are invited to attend a special St Fiacc’s mass in St Clare’s at 6.30pm. For those interested, a night out is being organised in Graiguecullen Club House later that evening. All families are invited to a “Picnic in the Park” on the following day from 2pm to 6pm. Guest speakers for Monday, May 20, Fr. Cathal Price, Chaplain to Divine Mercy Apostolate. The rosary is recited at 7.10pm and Mass begins at 7.30pm.


There was no winner of the recent lotto draw, the numbers drawn were 05, 10, 23 and 26. The four lucky dip winners were Laurence Phelan, Leah Dowling, Catherine Fitzgerald and Michael Maguire each received €25. The seller’s prize of €25 was won by Colm Fitzgerald. The next jackpot stands at €9400 and tickets can be purchased for €2 from any club member or in the local shop and public houses. The committee of Killeshin FC would like to congratulate the Killeshin first team squad on winning the Division 1 title and many thanks to their hard working manager Michael Dargan on this great achievement.

Graiguecullen/Killeshin Parish Youth Choir practice every Saturday at 12.45 to 2pm in the Parish Centre. New Members are always very welcome.


This ceremony of light and reconciliation service for the children of St Fiacc’s NS will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at 7.30pm in St Clare’s.

Swimming Pool

Synchronised Swimming swim camps, swim to music will be starting this July 2013. Participants should be at least ten years of age, certificate of attendance awarded, also private and group lessons available. Contact Ali at 0878231276 or 0578730969.


Special Youth Mass will be held on Pentecost Sunday, May 19 at 5pm in the Parish Centre please come along and bring a friend.


On June 2 there will be a Special Exam Mass at 11.30am in St Clare’s Church for all those sitting the Junior Certificate or Leaving Certificate exams.

Our Youth Pastoral Council are organising special Masses for young people. The first Mass will take place on Sunday, May 19 at 6pm in the Parish Centre.


Laois Bealtaine presents Céilí Mór in Oisín House on Saturday 18 May, music by Annaly Céilí Band, 9pm start.

Thursday Morning club has resumed after 10am Mass in St Clare’s. Parishioners are invited into the Parish Centre after Mass for a cuppa and a chat.
