First venture in Laois
The national organisation that helps children and adults who are blind or vision impaired throughout Ireland is opening its first charity shop in Laois.
The NCBI charity inviting people to come along to its new outlet in Portarlington Thursday, December 8 next.
NCBI says it is delighted to celebrate the opening of its new charity store No.5 The Tannery, Link Road, Droughill, Portarlington, R32 ED26.
"We wish to invite members of the local community and beyond to visit the store and sample some of our top quality pre-loved clothing, accessories and more on offer," it says.
The charity gratefully accepts donations at the store in the Laois Offaly town while expressions of interest in volunteering at the store are welcome. You can also contact shopvolunteer@ncbi.ie.
The National Council for the Blind of Ireland says it works so that people who are blind and vision-impaired to have the same opportunities, rights and choices as others to fully participate in society.
It says its mission is to enable people who are blind and vision impaired to overcome the barriers that impede their independence and participation in society.
