Ryan Tubridy's favourite classic Christmas movie screens in Laois town

The Balcony Cinema in Mountmellick is showing the favourite film of RTÉ Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy in the run up to Christmas.

"It's a wonderful life" is the the 1946 American Christmas fantasy drama film produced and directed by Frank Capra, that people have been watching with their families for decades.

The plots sees a frustrated businessman, George Bailey, played by James Stewart, becoming suicidal when an angel from heaven, Clarence, is sent to him. To his change of heart, she shows him what life would have been without his existence.

The film screens in the Laois town on Wednesday, December 21 at 8pm. Tickets are €5 per person and refreshments served.
