A "proper snow" is falling across Laois this Wednesday afternoon December 13, with a Met Eireann Snow-Ice warning across Ireland proving correct again.
The warning is for "widespread heavy and thundery showers during Wednesday and Thursday will produce hail, sleet and snow at times, leading to accumulations of ice on untreated surfaces".
It is valid until Thursday night December 14 at 8am.
