It was touch and go whether Mountmellick Christmas Tree would light as planned tonight.
Just nine days ago the town was devastated by floods, but thanks to hard work by the CE workers and Mountmellick Christmas Tree committee led by Ger and Brian Lynch, tonight the famous tree is glowing again, just in time for the Late Late Toy Show.
