Portlaoise and Killadooley schools in singing form to start Laois Cumann na mBunscoil finals

Brilliant sun and loud chants from hundreds of Laois schoolchildren herald the start of The Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Laois Hurling and Camogie Finals today.

The first game in division 3 is between the Holy Family Senior School and Killadooley NS, and both are in fine form.

700 boys and girls from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes from Holy Family marched to O'Moore Park Portlaoise from their new school at Aughnaharna, to sing and chant, led by principal Des Sutton.

Not to be outdone, the small school of Killadooley sang and chanted at the top of their voices to cheer on their team.

In all 19 matches will be played over the coming three days, representing schools all over the county.
