Advice issued to motorists with busiest times expected from 10am to 4pm

Electric Picnic has issued advice to people leaving the site in Laois on Monday, August 31 warning that they will face traffic delays.

They expect the heaviest traffic will be between 10am and 4pm.

“There will be traffic when leaving the festival on Monday, August 31 with the heaviest expected between 10am and 4pm and there may be delays in leaving the car parks,” the statement said.

“Electric Picnic are doing everything possible to reduce queuing but there is only so much capacity on the roads. If you need to be anywhere on Monday, beat the queues and leave before 10am.

“Please make sure to have plenty of water and food for your journey.”

For those being picked up they also had advice.

“Junction 16 will be closed on Monday, August 31. Please use Junction 15 on the M7 and follow the dedicated route to pick up from PUDO.

“The entrances to car parks become exit routes when people are leaving the event. There will be no access to the car parks for pick up. Pick ups are from PUDO only.”
