Timahoe Male Choir announce return to America at Electric Picnic

Choir leader Damien Bowe confirmed the news on Day One of the Electric Picnic
The Timahoe Male Choir are set for another trip across the Atlantic after receiving an invitation to perform at the Nashville St Patrick’s Day Parade in Tennessee next year.
Choir leader Damien Bowe confirmed the news on Friday, August 28, during an appearance on Today FM’s ‘Louise Cantillon Live from Electric Picnic’ show.
The choir gave listeners a taste of what they can expect from their Electric Picnic performances. They performed two songs live on the show, including Kingfishr’s ‘Killeagh’ and the hugely popular ‘Freed From Desire’ by Gala.
The invitation will see the popular Laois choir return to America for the second time in three years, having previously travelled to New York in 2025 as part of the St Patrick’s Day celebrations there.
The Nashville trip promises to be another major highlight for the choir, who have enjoyed a remarkable rise in popularity in recent years, including a memorable appearance on the Main Stage at Electric Picnic in 2025.
Their latest international adventure was in Europe earlier this year when they travelled to Torremolinos in Spain to perform at Derek Ryan’s ‘Beat In The Heat’.
Before heading back across the Atlantic, however, the choir have another busy weekend ahead at Electric Picnic. The Timahoe Male Choir are due to perform twice at this year’s festival, having already made an appearance on Tuesday, August 25, when members of the media were given a first look at the Electric Picnic site.
They performed on the new Survivor stage that day and will return to the same stage on Saturday, August 29, when they are scheduled to take to the stage at 11.15am. Their second performance of the weekend will take place on Sunday at 12pm in Trailer Park.
With Nashville now on the horizon, the Timahoe Male Choir’s remarkable journey shows no sign of slowing down.
