PICTURES: Young musicians shine at harp and pipes festival in Laois

Young people who play harp and uilleann pipes from across Ireland came together in Laois for this year’s Tionól Harp + Pipes festival.

The annual event is organised by Music Generation Laois and featured Italian harpist and composer Adriano Sangineto who performed a concert in Castletown to mark Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Sangineto’s harp and light show, 'Harp Revolution – Visual Harp' was brought to life in the Church of the De La Salle Retreat Centre on Tuesday, October 27. Photographer Alf Harvey was there and captured these photographs. Scroll down to see more.
