Gallery: A look back at Bernadette Ryan's year as Laois Rose 2010

The Leinster Express as proud media sponsor of the Laois Rose 2018 is looking back at previous pictures from Laois roses.

This week we have a gallery of picture from 2010 when Rathdowney woman Bernadette Ryan was crowned Laois Rose.

Bernadette was the the first Laois Rose to make it to Dome in Tralee since Anne Marie Hogan in 2004.

Bernadette was a primary school teacher in Sacred Heart in Portlaoise when she became Laois Rose.

She went on to study a Masters in Speech and Language therapy in the University of Limerick.
