It was be a nostalgic night of headbanging heavy metal in Portlaoise last weekend as two local bands will reunited after 25 years.

Genocide and Breed Insanity got back together for one night only to relive the magic of their heyday in the early 90's.

The highly anticipated free gig drew a big crowd from all over the midlands and even further afield as they often played gigs around the country in the past.

The five original members of Genocide Alan McEvoy, Bill Harney, Ken Holohan, Jimmy Hewitt and Larry Browne. Breed Insanity was made up of Mick McEvoy, Michael Gillen and Terry Byrne.

Photographer Luke Wynne went along to Kavanagh's Pub for the Leinster Express.
