Accused of theft from TK Maxx and drug possession
Woman appeared before Portlaoise District Court
A woman appeared in court accused of drug possession and theft from TK Maxx.
Eva Duskevic, 22, of Flat 3, O’Connell House, O’Connell Square, Mountmellick, is accused of possessing diamorphine at Patrick Street, Mountmellick on July 29, 2023. She is further accused of stealing a woman’s seasonal jacket worth €159.99 and two lifestyle technology items valued at €10.99 each from TK Maxx on December 13, 2023.
Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby told a sitting of Portlaoise District Court that the diamorphine was allegedly worth €280.
Solicitor Barry Fitzgerald requested disclosure and asked for legal aid for his client who he said was not working.
Judge Andrew Cody ordered disclosure, granted legal aid and adjourned the case to Portlaoise District Court on February 12, 2024.
