A Laois architect who creates designs to include people of all abilities, has designs on the Laois Rose title.
Annamae Muldowney, 27, grew up and lives in the Electric Picnic home of Stradbally.
She is passionate about her work.
"I am an architect with undergraduate and master’s degrees in Architecture at Technological University Dublin. I work as an Inclusive Design Researcher at the Global Disability Innovation Hub located at University College London.
"I focus on projects that aim to involve people with disabilities in design, ensuring that the world around us is accommodating to the needs of everyone. I love to travel, and my work brings me far and wide as we work predominantly in developing countries," she said.
Outside of her job, her designer mind turns to fashion.
"When not working, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and pursuing my hobbies such as attending music gigs, running, acting, and exploring vintage and independent boutiques to add unique pieces to my quirky fashion sense.
"I am delighted to be part of this year’s Laois Rose and getting to know the girls," Annamae said.
All of the Laois Rose entrants will take to the stage in the Midlands Park Hotel this Easter Sunday night, April 9, in a gala event supported by an audience of their families and communities. The winning Laois Rose will go on to the Rose of Tralee televised final this August.
Tickets are €25 and will be available on the evening so get there early. Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 7.30pm sharp.
See this week's Leinster Express newspaper for profiles of all 17 Laois Rose Entrants.
