Mountmellick Drama Group is getting ready to stage an exciting night of theatre with three one act plays by Geraldine Aron.

Before hosting their annual drama festival the group will present Geraldine, hitting the stage in the Mountmellick Community Arts Centre on Thursday and Friday February 27 and 28 at 8pm.

The night will feature 'Olive and Hillary' - Monica escapes her husband and life in London to return to her sister’s house in Ireland. The alternative lifestyle chosen by her sister leads to a direct clash. The mystic confronts the pragmatic in this lighthearted brush with the surreal and occult.

'A Galway Girl' - This romance depicts the life of a rural Irish wife in the 1950s. Maisie and her husband Dermot shows us the wonderful rollercoaster the life of a married couple. From loving moments and bickering it captures the reality that was the married life in 1950 Ireland. The how and why of people sticking together.

'The Donohue Sisters' - The three sisters carry a horrible, shared secret from their childhood. Separated by life, they reunite only for major family events and each time revisit and relive the event that has kept them connected ever since. Returning to the attic in the family home, maybe it is not all going to stay in the past.
