John Phelan - Ballacolla
The death took place on January 25 of John Phelan (Manor Estate, Terenure and late of Ballygeehan Castle, Ballacolla, Co Laois).
Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the doctors, nurses and staff at the ICU Unit in Tallaght University Hospital. Dearly beloved husband and best friend of Liz (Feely) and cherished dad of Una and Louise. Sadly missed by his adored grandson Freddie, sons-in-law Ron and Ronan, his brother Bill, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Predeceased by his sisters Anne and Sr Louise.

The death took place on January 25 of Edward (Eddie) Deevy, Sue Ryder Centre, Kilminchy, Portlaoise and formerly Drumagh, Crettyard, Co. Laois.
Died at the Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Predeceased by his sisters, Mary, Rita and infant Brigid, and brothers, Andy, Michael and Tom. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Lena and Patricia, sister-in-law, Elsie, his nieces and nephews and their families, his extended family, the Sue Ryder community at Kilminchy and his many good friends across Ireland and the United States, his home for nearly five decades.

The death took place on January 25 of Noel Bailey, Grantstown, Ballacolla, Co.Laois, January 25th. 2024, peacefully following a long illness bravely borne in loving care of management and staff at The Residence Care Home, Portlaoise. Survived by his wife Ann, children Darren and Saphron, grandchildren, brothers Freddie, Edwin and Roy, sisters Hazel , June and Linda, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Eve Bernadette Flannery - Ballymaddock
The occurred of Baby Eve Bernadette Flannery, Ballymaddock, Stradbally, Laois died peacefully, in the arms of her mammy and daddy, on January 23.
She is now in the care of her granny Sheila Cushen in heaven. Eve gave us a lifetime of love during her short time on Earth. She will be forever loved and missed by her heartbroken parents Brian and Caroline, big sister Sarah and brothers Jack and Liam. Much missed by her grandparents, Michael, Vincent and Bernie, great-grandmother Julia, uncles, aunts and beloved cousins.
