The death took place on Wednesday, February 14 of Helen Byrne (nee Harding) “St Martins” Ridge Rd., Portlaoise.
Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husband John, also her parents Jack and Annie, her sisters Frances, Patty and brother Sonny. Loving mother to John, Sharon, Ivan, Ian and Martin. Cherished grandmother to her fourteen grandchildren. Deeply regretted by her family, brothers P.J and Jimmy, sisters Phyllis McDonald and Lily Kelly, son in law Willie, daughters in law Joan, Celine, Orla and Gina, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and large circle of friends.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6.30 pm till 8 pm. Rosary will be recited at 7.30 pm. Removal on Saturday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church for 12 noon requiem mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul's Cemetery
Enda Corcoran - Clonaslee
The Requiem Mass for Enda Corcoran, Mamoroneck, New York & Coolagh, Clonaslee, Laois is to take place on Saturday, February 17.
Enda passed away suddenly in his home in New York on the 9th of September 2022.
Predeceased by his father John and brothers William & Sean.
Enda will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, wife Noreen, son Ronan, his mother Marie, sisters Rita & Rose, mother-in-law Maura, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Enda’s ashes will be brought to St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee on Saturday the 17th of February 2024 at 1pm where his funeral mass will be celebrated.

Mary Kealey - Portlaoise
The death took place on Thursday, February 15 of Mary Kealey (nee Tynan). Sheffield Cross, Portlaoise, Co.Laois.
Died at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her brother Dan and sister Kathleen. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Paddy. Daughters Mary and Caroline, sons Sonny, Martin and Brian, and their partners Sandra, Tracey and Jezette, sisters Lill and Lucy, brother Ned, sons-in law Michael and Eamon, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her residence (R32 D59O) on Friday from 3pm with recital of the rosary and 7pm. Removal on Saturday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church, Portlaoise for 2pm requiem mass. Burial afterwards in SS Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Portlaoise.
John Hennessy- Mountmellick
The death has occurred of John Hennessy, Davitt Road, Mountmellick on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Retired manager of Mountmellick Textile Factory. Died peacefully in Portlaoise Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved brother Noel, sister-in-law Aileen, and parents Paddy and Bridie. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Anne, his children Michelle, Dermot, Paul and Aisling, their spouses Tony, Michelle, Victoria and Enda, grandchildren Daniel, Sinead, Sarah, Eilidh, David, Ronan, Oscar, Mia and Fae, brothers Pat and Oliver and wives Kathleen and Barbara, nieces and nephews, and by a wide circle of friends and relatives. Rest in Peace. Reposing Moloneys Funeral Home Wednesday from 6pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7.30pm. Removal from his home on Thursday morning at 10.40am to St Joseph's Church for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in St.Josephs Cemetery.
