Signs, technology and garda will be deployed on Laois roads to get you to Stradbally Hall
Electric Picnicers travelling from the four corners of Ireland and beyond will have new help plotting their route to the festival site in Stradbally.
That's thanks to a new Garda interactive traffic management plan for big event in Laois with the first revellers due to arrive on Thursday, August 31 ahead of the official start on Friday.
The map app shows routes to the event, car parks, gates and camping areas around the Electric Picnic site. They say it will help picnicers and local people.
Gardaí say they want you to switch of the phone apps and follow the official routes which they say are better.
"This year we are encouraging you not to use SAT NAV and to follow the dedicated routes shown on the map. Garda resources are allocated to these routes to get you to Electric Picnic 2023 in a safe and timely manner. This interactive map aims to help all those attending Electric Picnic as well as local residents to have a safe and enjoyable weekend," say the gardaí.
