The Electric Picnic residents committee in Laois are preparing for their Annual General Meeting (AGM), open to all Stradbally residents.

The AGM will take place on Monday, February 17 at 7pm in St Colman’s National School, Stradbally.

Committee elections will also take place on the night, but anyone considering a position must be prepared for frequent meetings.

"Please note the outgoing committee held 25+ meetings in 2025 - 2026. High attendance is expected to retain a committee position," the Electric Picnic residents committee states.

Nomination forms are available on request by contacting electricpicniccommittee@gmail.com or 085 8332292. Nominations open on January 16 and close on February 10.

Completed forms must be written and emailed to the Secretary, using the form signed by the nominee confirming they are willing to step up. Alternatively they can be delivered in person to Catherine Murphy, Church Avenue, Stradbally.

Electric Picnic gives discounted tickets to several thousand residents in Stradbally, in thanks for hosting Ireland's biggest music and arts festival which brings 75,000 ticketholders to the small town.

The residents are saving up the proceeds in hope of building a community hall for Stradbally, which EP boss Melvin Benn has promised to support.

This year it is headlined by CMAT, Gorrillaz, Fontaines DC and Skepta and others, with more waves of acts to be announced.

Electric Picnic 2026 takes place from August 28 to 30, with tickets sold out, but resales regularly available on TicketMaster.
