Groundhog day for Laois camogie as venue set with relegation scrap with Dubs

Laois in action against Westmeath

The Camogie Association has confirmed the time and venue for the Glen Dimplex Intermediate Championship relegation game between Laois and Dublin.

The two teams will square up on Sunday, July 15 at St Rynaghs GAA in Banagher, Co Offaly.

The throw-in is 2pm with extra time and result on the day applies.

The referee is to be confirmed.

In bizarre circumstances, Laois were actually relegated from this grade last year by Kildare but The Camogie Association decided that Laois would remain at the Intermediate grade as they felt they would be too strong for the Premier-Junior grade.

It's been a rough year for Laois having played three group games against Meath, Westmeath and Kerry with them losing by an average of 19 points.

It remains to be seen what the Camogie Association decides to do if Laois loses to Dublin and is relegated again.
