PREVIEW: Can Laois Camogie go one better in 2025 and be crowned All-Ireland Premier Junior champions?

Laois are set to face Armagh in the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Premier Junior Camogie final at Croke Park on Sunday, August 10, with the throw-in scheduled for 1pm.

After last year’s narrow one-point defeat to Tipperary, Laois have made a strong return to the big stage, cruising through this year’s championship. Their campaign began with a 2-13 to 2-6 win over Wicklow at Laois Hire O’Moore Park, followed by a commanding 4-11 to 0-11 victory in Roscommon. Louth gave them a walkover in Round 3, and Laois took full advantage with a 2-19 to 2-11 win over Tyrone, securing their place in the All-Ireland semi-finals.

The final group game saw Laois and Armagh clash unbeaten, with Laois edging it 5-10 to 0-20 in a battle for top spot. Laois then made light work of Wicklow in the semi-final, winning 4-15 to 0-3, setting up a rematch with Armagh in the Croke Park final.

The 2025 season has mirrored 2024 closely, with Laois reaching the league final and Leinster final once again. This year, however, they lifted silverware in Kinnegad after beating Roscommon in April. They did fall just short in the Leinster Intermediate final, losing to Carlow by a late injury-time goal. In 2024, Laois suffered three heartbreaks, losing three finals by a single point: the league final, Leinster final, and All-Ireland final.
